Anita Mui's bling on sale

Hong Kong: The late Anita Mui's jewellery and watches will be offered at an auction on Oct 5 in Hong Kong.

The Cantopop diva and actress, 40, died in 2003 after battling cervical cancer.

Sotheby's auction house announced on Friday that there will be 43 lots, including memorabilia items, valued at more than HK $2.6 million (S$410,000) during the Hong Kong Autumn Sale.

The items, which include a necklace set worn by Mui at her last concert, have never been offered at an auction, it said.

Funds from the auction will be used to service monthly payments to her mother as well as property management, maintenance and other fees incurred by the estate.
