Seoul - Burberry celebrated its famed trench coats in South Korea with a glitzy night of acoustic tunes and a guest list of top K-pop celebrities like Soo Young from Girls Generation, Kim Hye Soo and CL from 2NE1 at Daelim warehouse located in an industrial area on Sep 26.

The event, which was attended by over 500 guests, celebrated not only British luxury fashion and the brand's digital platform, Art of Trench, but also the creative community in Seoul.

Art of the Trench is a website, launched in 2009, to celebrate the iconic trench coat and the people who wear them. The site invites Burberry fans from all over the world to submit their own trench portraits.

At the recent event, celebrities and guests were invited to explore the Art of the Trench Seoul project via interactive screens setup throughout the warehouse.

The project featured more than 50 creatives from the entertainment, art, business, fashion, media and sport industries, showcasing the trench coat in locations all over the capital city.

British Burberry Acoustic band Southern and Korean band 'Kiha and the faces' also performed live, followed by a live set by DJ Yann Cavaille.

The party was also streamed across Burberry communities including Burberry.com and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. To date, ArtoftheTrench.com has over 222 million page views from more than 200 countries.

Headquartered in London, Burberry has hosted Art of the Trench events in Chicago, Brazil and Paris. Seoul joins Shanghai and India as one of the participating countries in Asia.

The next Art of the Trench party is likely be held in Kiev, Ukraine and Istanbul, Turkey, later this year, said Burberry.
