Bombardier adds maintenance facility in Qatar
by Plush|16 October 2013

Business aircraft owners can now look forward to the addition of a new Line Maintenance Facility (LMF) in Qatar by Bombardier Aerospace.

Qatar Airways' Corporate Jet Division, Qatar Executive, based at Doha International Airport, has been named LMF for Bombardier's Challenger 300, Challenger 604, Challenger 605 jets and Global business jets.

"Qatar Airways has built a successful business flying and maintaining Bombardier business jets under the Qatar Executive banner and they know our aircraft intimately," said Eric Martel, President, Bombardier Customer Services & Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft.

Established in 2009, Qatar Executive has emerged as one of the Middle East's premier charter and maintenance service providers with a full-time staff of 13 maintenance technicians with operations in a 6,300 sqm maintenance hangar.

The addition brings the number of Authorized Service Facilities (ASFs) and LMFs catering to Bombardier's business and commercial aircraft customers to 57, in 28 countries.

In the past two years, Bombardier has granted 11 new ASF and LMF designations in locations worldwide and has announced a new wholly owned facility for business aircraft to be opened in Singapore in 2013.
