Chanel has named German actress and model Diane Kruger the face of its new beauty campaign.

She is known for her roles in movies such as Troy (where she plays Helen) and Inglourious Basterds (as Bridget von Hammersmark).

The 36-year-old first worked with Chanel in 1996 for its Allure fragrance advertising campaign, and later in 2007 for the Paris-Biarritz bag campaign.

The new campaign visuals will be released later this year.
