Singapore - A five-storey penthouse in a double skyscraper residential building in Monaco looks set to become the world's most expensive property when it is launched next year.
Odeon Tower will become the second tallest building in the wealthy city-state of Monaco and the crowning unit in this Mediterranean deluxe property, the penthouse is rumoured to have a starting price of approximately US$250 million (S$315 million), said online reports.
A market analyst on a Sky News article estimated that crowning unit could even fetch as much as 253 million pounds (S$503 million).
According to media reports, analysts said that the 70-unit high-end property looks to topple the current holder of the world's most expensive penthouse, London's One Hyde Park, sold at a reported US$212 million (S$265 million).
Standing at 49-stories, the luxurious apartment project started in 2009 is reported to be completed in July 2014.
