It's in this same spirit that American fashion label Kate Spade New York developed its lifestyle brand Kate Spade Saturday. The brand channels the carefree spirit of the weekend with plenty of bright colour, bold graphics and prints, and of course a sense of humour.

Fans of Kate Spade New York will definitely fall in love with Kate Spade Saturday that was launched online at Saturday.com in the US in early 2013. True to its name, new items are released every Saturday. Five brick-and-mortar stores soon followed in Japan and a Kate Spade Saturday store just opened in September, 2013, in Los Angeles.

Now Singapore shoppers won't have to wait long to get their hands on the fun apparel, accessories, and homeware because the brand has just announced that a Kate Spade Saturday store will open on October 26, 2013, at Ion Orchard. The opening of the store will be accompanied by the launch of the online shopping site, Saturday.sg.

We can't wait to see the eye-catching prints like the zany black-and-white striped Signature Zig Zag up close, translated onto adorable rompers and blouses, and even bags and iPhone cases! Plus, there will be a customisation station in the store where shoppers can pick out their favourite colours and patterns from the wide variety available to create their own personalised Weekender Bag.
