Singapore - Prints have always been a vital part of Versace's aesthetic. Colourful and flamboyant, the Italian fashion house has featured everything from its Medusa logo to baroque influences in its prints for a signature look that oozes glamour and luxury.

From October 17 to 23, 2013, Paragon will be the home of the Iconic Print Exhibition. This exhibition celebrates the iconic prints of Versace that are still sought-after gems - vintage pieces like scarves and silk shirts are in high demand by style makers. The selection of Atelier Versace outfits, home collection and accessories are also on display.

It is also the first time that Atelier Versace dresses, some bearing the iconic Barocco print, have made their way to Singapore. Look out for the reissued classic printed silk shirts too - the luxury house reinterpreted them with a fresh and modern take on the classic prints.

Part of the exhibition is devoted to an impressive display of 20 plates featuring different decorative iconic designs. Versace and tableware brand Rosenthal first collaborated back in 1992 and the partnership is still going strong. Each year of successful cooperation is chronicled by a plate that is a masterpiece and a must-have in every dedicated Versace fan's home.

Taiwanese pop princess Jolin Tsai also flew into Singapore to attend the first day of the exhibition. We managed to steal the songstress, who was decked out in a punk ensemble from Versace's Autumn Winter 2013 collection, for a quick chat.

She briefly gushed about Singapore's tropical weather, roti prata and Hainanese chicken rice before launching into her appreciation of this season's collection, "This season, Versace has a more punk style. It's cool because like myself, I may look mild on the outside but I actually have a tough girl interior - so the Autumn Winter 2013 collection allows girls to bring out their inner punk."

Tsai mused that she would like to try the androgynous style that has been on-trend, although "now's not the time as I tend to change my look on impulse".

The fashionista also shared more about the bag-making course she took in London recently, "I like bags. But only through this course did I realise how much craftsmanship goes into making one bag. Interestingly enough, I prefer oversized bags even though I'm petite!"
