Take a whiff of these royal perfumes
by Karen Lim, My Paper|01 November 2013

London - London fragrance house Atkinsons will be bringing its British flair, and scents, here to Robinsons Orchard this month.

The 200-year-old brand is making its Asian debut here, having been previously available in countries such as France, Australia and the United States.

The fragrance house is known for its classic English style and customisation of scents for aristocrats and an exclusive clientele around the world.

Word has it that King George IV caught a whiff of its eau de cologne at Buckingham Palace in 1826 and bestowed the fragrance house the honourable title of Official Perfumer to the royal court of England on the spot.

Brought in by Perfume Holding, a European company which owns perfume brands such as La Perla, Ferrari and John Galliano, Atkinsons unveiled four collections here at an event held at the Bacchanalia Restaurant in Coleman Street last month.

My Paper sniffs out some signature items for fashionistas and modern-day dandies who want a bit of British eccentricity.

Atkinsons will be available exclusively at Robinsons Orchard from this month.
