One of Singapore's up-and-coming young photographers - Mark Teo - held his first personal exhibition of his work centred around the theme of action and street culture.
A total of 30 pieces of Mark's favourite personal works, featuring some of the most prominent local and international athletes and artistes in the action sports and street culture scenes, were on display and up for sale.
All proceeds from the sale of the works on display went towards the Straits Times School Pocket Fund, which caters to youths from under privileged families.
All invited guests had to pay for the food and drinks - but at their own price.
All monies collected from the opening night party was added to the proceeds from the sale.
"This collection of images featuring street culture and alternative sports came about by chance really", said the 27-year-old.
"It started off when I was asked to help out with a photo shoot for Radikal Forze, which I did pro-bono. Then word got around and I got more requests for collaborations from others in the street culture scene, before I knew it, I've collected a decent portfolio", he continues.
Mark Teo's images bear witness to the accomplishments of a people still capable of the anarchy and personal agency that drive creative production.
