Newly launched $760 million Azzam becomes world's biggest superyacht

Having a yacht is said to represent power and wealth.

Luxury cars are plenty on the road, but having a deluxe yacht is just another unique way for these super rich individuals to express their wealth.

Yachts are the world's most lavish and largest toys, and each one is designed to deliver maximum comfort and grandeur.

Some of these deluxe yachts are also for rent by their wealthy owners, that is if you have a few million to spare. Russian billionaire and Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovitch charters his luxurious yacht 'Eclipse' to paying customers at $2.5 million a week.

If not, one can always admire one of these beautifully-crafted yachts where they are docked. The 'Dilbar' boat is reportedly often moored at an exclusive $3,900-a-night marina in Sardinia, Italy.

Take a look at 20 of the world's most luxurious motor vessels to ever sail the seas.

The world's largest superyacht 'Azzam' has been revealed on April 5, 2013 and launched in Germany. Reportedly priced at $760 million by Dailymail, it stands at 180 metres and overtook Russian billionaire Roman Abramovitch's 'Eclipse' as the world's largest privately own yacht. Azzam, which means dedication in Arabic, is reportedly rumoured to have been paid for by a member of the Saudi royal family, Alwaleed Bin Talal Alsaud.
The 'History Supreme' is reportedly the world's most expensive boat at $5.6 billion. It was built for an anonymous Malaysian businessman. Taking over 3 years to complete, it is said to be adorned with 100,000kg of gold and has stone walls made from meteors from space. The luxury boat also has a statue made from bones of a Tyrannosaurus Rex dinosaur.
Designed to be a private island, the $111 million 'Wally Why' yacht is an environmentally-friendly vessel created by maritime design company Wally and fashion label Hermes.
