Big you, meet small you

SINGAPORE - Meet mini Dr Georgia Lee.

Only mere centimetres, the 3D figurine is an exact replica of the aesthetics doctor who is at least 1.75m-tall in real life. Other than the height difference, the similarities between Lee and the replica are quite surreal.

'Mini Georgia' dons a Cleopatra hairstyle, a flowy green gown and black gloves, and even wears a half smile that's signature to the local socialite.

Soon, you'll be able to do the same and print yourself in 3D, as the technology which hails from Japan, will be in Singapore.

The pop-up store, courtesy of a collaborative project between local creative agency Kinetic Singapore, Mikanbako and Scotts Square which is venue sponsor, will be open from Sept 21 to Oct 6.

In just under 30 minutes, customers will be scanned with cutting-edge equipment by professionals from Mikanbako, a specialty 3D imaging studio from Japan.

This collated data will then be sent to Mikanbako's lab in Japan to be processed and printed. However, due to the complexity of the technical processes, customers will receive their figurine three months from their scan.

While the figurines promise to be "life-like", the price tag for the largest replica (25cm) is $1,500. The medium-sized replica (20cm) costs $1,000 and the smallest (15cm) is priced at $850.

This collated data will then be sent to Mikanbako's lab in Japan to be processed and printed. Due to the complexity of the technical processes, customers will receive their figurine three months from their scan. Customers can choose from 3 sizes - small (15cm), medium (20cm) or large (25cm).
